Junior Aquarist: Sleepover Edition is a one-of-a-kind overnight adventure at Aquaria KLCC where kids (and parents!) get to experience the real work of an aquarist: caring for marine animals, testing water quality, observing behaviours, and even preparing meals for sea creatures.

It’s more than just a sleepover — it’s a chance to step into the shoes of a marine expert and spark your child’s love for ocean life through hands-on discovery and unforgettable memories.

Set up real tents right next to sharks, glowing coral reefs, and fascinating sea creatures. This once-in-a-lifetime 2D1N experience invites your whole family to bond through exciting, guided marine activities — under the stars and inside the aquarium.

Day 2

7.00 am Wake Up & Pack Down
Rise and shine! Time to dismantle tents and get ready for the day.
8.00 am Breakfast with the Waves
Fuel up with a yummy breakfast before more splashes.
8.30 am Scrub & Splash
Join the aquarist crew to help clean exhibits and learn about tank care!
9.00 am Chef of the Sea
Chop, sort, and prepare meals for our aquatic friends — just like a sea-life chef.
10.00 am Junior Aquarists, Signing Off
End your underwater adventure with fin-tastic memories, new skills, and a deeper love for our oceans — until we meet again!

Note: Activities and schedule may be adjusted based on on-site conditions for the best experience. Tent locations will be allocated randomly — every spot is a good spot for memories

Terms & Conditions

In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters) or if the number of participants does not meet the required minimum, GogoKids will promptly contact participants to arrange for rescheduling or a refund.

Rescheduling is permitted with at least 2 weeks’ notice prior to the activity date. With multiple slots available year-round, children will have ample opportunities to enjoy this enriching learning experience.

To respect the time of instructors and other participants, attendees must arrive on time for the scheduled session. Late arrivals may miss key activities and disrupt the experience.

We joined the Family Shark-cation 2D1N sleepover at the KLCC aquarium, and overall it was a really good and memorable experience for the kids and us parents. The activities were engaging, and it felt special to stay overnight surrounded by marine life. However, we were a little disappointed with our tent location. Our tent was set in front of a small window, so we couldn’t really see the sharks swimming. Other families’ tents were arranged in front of the big glass panels with a clear view, which made our spot feel less special. Also, the play mat provided for sleeping was too thin — it was quite hard to get comfortable through the night. A slightly thicker mat or added padding would make a big difference for future participants. That said, the staff were friendly, the program was well-organized, and our kids had a great time. We’d still recommend it for families, just hope the tent allocation and sleeping comfort can be improved in the future.

Super duper fun, once in a lifetime chance to stay overnight in Aquaria. Activities are age appropriate too. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
